My Heart

My heart is like a car battery, with positive and negative sides
It's the thing that keeps me going
Sometimes it needs a jump start
Sometimes it wants to die
Sometimes it's corrosive and full of acid.
If I maintain it with loving care, it takes me anywhere
If you treat it properly, it overflows with joy
But if you don't, it never forgets and will never love you the same
And if you love it, it loves you back two-fold and twice as much
If it gets hurt, its scars will never heal
And its disappointment will be eternal
My heart never forgets your love and it never erases your hate
My heart is inexplicable resilient and inflexible at the same time
My heart is capable of resisting misery and misfortunes
My heart is a fortress, able to resist many assaults and battles
My heart could love you in excess and exaggeration
But it could turn weak and vulnerable if you repel it
My heart is normal and ordinary most of the time
But when required, it can be abnormal and extraordinary.
You can damage my heart, you can break it apart, break it up 
Break down, break out, break away, break off or break even
But next day it can recuperate itself with a smile from a child 
Or by witnessing a kind human act
It can also fall into despair, and wish to end it all 
And then, change its mind and love life back in a desperate way
I wish I had two hearts
One for my body and the other one just to love you.
